Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trailers, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Sort packages efficiently according to destination codes and established procedures.
- Scan packages accurately using handheld devices and maintain data integrity.
- Move packages on and off conveyor belts, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Identify and report any damaged packages or shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, complying with all safety regulations.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational flow.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg) regularly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all operational procedures.
- Basic communication skills (written and verbal in English).
