Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Officer to join our dynamic team, focusing specifically on logistics and daily task management for our properties in the Ocho Rios region. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, services, and operational processes that underpin our luxury guest experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily execution of operational tasks, coordinating with various departments, managing supply chain activities, and optimizing resource allocation.
This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of logistics, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in identifying potential bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions, and continuously seeking improvements in our operational workflows. From managing inventory levels for essential supplies to coordinating vendor deliveries and ensuring timely completion of routine maintenance schedules, your contribution will directly impact our resort’s ability to deliver seamless and exceptional service.
Beyond logistics, the Operations Officer will play a key role in supporting the daily administrative and operational needs of the department, which includes preparing reports, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory standards. You will be the go-to person for operational inquiries, problem-solving, and ensuring that all daily tasks are completed with precision and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily logistics operations, including procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution of goods and supplies across resort properties.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments (e.g., F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering) to ensure timely delivery and efficient allocation of resources.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and implement strategies to minimize waste and optimize storage solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules for operational tasks, including routine checks, maintenance, and facility management activities.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, logistics challenges, and supply chain disruptions efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare comprehensive operational reports, analyze performance metrics, and present findings to management with recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards in all operational activities.
- Train and supervise junior operational staff, fostering a culture of efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Utilize logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimize routes.
- Assist in budget planning and cost control for operational expenditures related to logistics and daily tasks.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms for supplies and services.
