Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Officer to join our dynamic team in Warsaw for an immediate start. This pivotal role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our banking operations, upholding the high standards of service and regulatory compliance that Santander Bank Polska is known for. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute daily operational activities across various banking functions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve operational discrepancies and issues promptly, escalating complex cases to management as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, seeking efficiencies and recommending innovative solutions to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with front office, IT, compliance, and other support departments to streamline workflows and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive operational reports, documentation, and records for audit and review purposes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems, products, and operational procedures, providing feedback and support during testing phases.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant banking laws, regulations, and internal control frameworks.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable working environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking operations or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of banking products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with banking operational systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in Polish and English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of specific Polish banking regulations and market practices.
  • Certifications in project management or operational excellence.
