Job Description

Alza.cz a.s. is seeking an exceptional Operations Manager to join our rapidly expanding team in Prague. As our Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the daily functions of our core operations, ensuring seamless execution, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for enhancing efficiency across various departments, from logistics and inventory management to customer fulfillment, ensuring that we consistently meet and exceed our stringent service level agreements. Your ability to quickly analyze complex operational data, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operational activities, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to company standards.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize operational processes to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance overall output.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of operational staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and generate comprehensive reports for senior management.
  • Manage operational budgets, control expenses, and ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehousing, customer service, and other internal departments to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • Proactively address operational challenges and implement effective corrective actions with a focus on immediate resolution and long-term prevention.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in an operations management role, preferably within e-commerce, retail, or logistics.
  • Demonstrable leadership and team management skills with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Czech (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with ERP and WMS systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of operational best practices and process improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with automated warehouse systems and advanced logistics technologies.
  • Proven experience in project management.
