This essential role ensures our shelves are always stocked with fresh products and inventory is managed with precision. You’ll safeguard product quality, optimize storage, and directly contribute to smooth operations, enhancing our customer’s shopping experience. Responsibilities include accurately receiving shipments, organizing backroom areas, rotating stock for freshness, minimizing waste, and maintaining impeccable inventory records. You will safely operate essential equipment, adhere to strict safety protocols, and collaborate with department managers to fulfill stocking needs. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, unload, and check in incoming merchandise.
- Organize and store products efficiently in designated locations.
- Execute precise stock rotation (FIFO) for freshness and to minimize shrink.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
- Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, bailers).
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas, adhering to regulations.
- Collaborate with departments for timely sales floor replenishment.
- Identify and report damaged products; follow disposal/return procedures.
- Assist in preparing outgoing transfers or returns.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory.
- Excellent organizational and time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in warehouse, stockroom, or retail.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or similar equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
