Job Description
As an On-site Maintenance Worker – Facility at our bustling JBS USA plant in Greeley, you will be a vital part of ensuring the continuous, safe, and highly efficient operation of our extensive and complex facility. This hands-on role involves performing a wide array of maintenance tasks, spanning from routine inspections and essential preventive maintenance to diagnosing and executing complex repairs on a diverse range of industrial equipment, critical building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical infrastructure), and general facility infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, production machinery, and essential building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues affecting both production lines and overall building infrastructure.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify and proactively resolve potential safety hazards, operational deficiencies, and equipment malfunctions.
- Execute minor construction, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks as needed for ongoing facility upkeep and improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts consumed, and inventory levels within our CMMS.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, environmental regulations, and internal company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime, optimize facility performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency maintenance requests to ensure minimal disruption to operations and maintain safety.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in industrial or facility maintenance.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on repair experience.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic welding, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
- Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic abilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or vocational training certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and automated machinery.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
