Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and proactive On-site Facility Attendant with a focus on Maintenance to join our dynamic team at the Walmart Supercenter located in Reunion, Commerce City, Colorado. This critical role is essential for ensuring the continued smooth operation and pristine condition of our retail facility. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for both our valued customers and hard-working associates.
As an On-site Facility Attendant, you will be the front line in upholding our high standards of facility care. Your responsibilities will span across various aspects of property maintenance, including routine cleaning, minor repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, and responding to immediate facility needs. You’ll be expected to perform daily inspections, identify areas requiring attention, and execute timely solutions to minimize disruption and enhance the overall store experience. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine custodial duties, including cleaning floors, restrooms, breakrooms, and office areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Conduct daily inspections of the facility to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and areas requiring attention.
- Execute minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment, fixtures, and systems (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing minor leaks, unclogging drains, tightening loose fixtures).
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling programs, ensuring proper segregation and timely removal of trash.
- Assist with seasonal tasks, including snow removal, landscaping touch-ups, and outdoor area cleanliness.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies, such as spills or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance tools, reporting needs for replenishment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with store management and other associates to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment.
Required Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in facility maintenance, janitorial services, or a similar hands-on role.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry principles for minor repairs.
- Ability to operate and maintain standard cleaning and maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
- Reliable transportation to the job site.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
