Lowe’s Home Improvement in Belmont, Pueblo, is seeking a dedicated On-site Delivery Support team member to join our dynamic retail operations. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be the linchpin connecting our valued customers with their eagerly awaited purchases, ensuring every delivery experience is seamless, efficient, and exceeds expectations.
As an On-site Delivery Support specialist, you’ll operate from our bustling retail location, becoming the central point of contact for all delivery-related inquiries and coordination. Your day will involve a critical blend of administrative tasks, hands-on logistical support, and direct customer and driver interaction. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire outgoing product flow for customer deliveries, from the moment an order is confirmed until it successfully leaves our facility. This includes meticulous verification of order details, ensuring all items are correctly picked, staged, and prepared for dispatch. You’ll work closely with our receiving and stocking teams to confirm product availability and readiness, and with our loading teams to ensure safe and accurate vehicle loading.
A significant part of your role will involve proactive communication. You’ll liaise directly with customers, providing updates on their delivery status, addressing any concerns or special requests, and swiftly resolving unforeseen issues like delays or discrepancies. Your ability to maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor, even in challenging situations, will be crucial to preserving our high standards of customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, you’ll coordinate daily with our network of delivery drivers, assigning routes, providing necessary documentation, and ensuring they are fully equipped for successful deliveries. You’ll also manage delivery schedules, optimize routes where possible, and utilize internal systems to track shipments and monitor progress.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all customer delivery inquiries and issues.
- Coordinate daily delivery schedules with customers, drivers, and internal store departments.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing customer orders, ensuring all items are present and in good condition.
- Assist with staging and preparing products for efficient loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery status, delays, or changes.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies, customer complaints, and logistical challenges swiftly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of all delivery activities, documentation, and customer interactions.
- Utilize internal software and systems for tracking shipments and managing delivery logistics.
- Collaborate with warehouse, stocking, and sales teams to ensure product availability and smooth order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies related to product handling and delivery.
- Provide clear instructions and support to delivery drivers.

Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in customer service, retail, or logistics coordination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn new software
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
- Capacity to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with retail delivery operations or a logistics-related role
- Familiarity with inventory management and tracking systems
- Prior experience in a home improvement retail setting
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one
