Key Responsibilities
- Sort, open, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and inter-office correspondence to appropriate departments and individuals in a timely manner.
- Prepare outgoing mail and packages, including applying postage, weighing items, and arranging for courier pick-ups, adhering to company policies and postal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring traceability and accountability for sensitive documents.
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment such as postage machines, folders, and inserters, performing minor troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist with inventory management of mailroom supplies, reordering stock when necessary to ensure continuous operation.
- Handle special deliveries and urgent requests, ensuring prompt and secure delivery of critical items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure mailroom environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide general administrative support as required, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.
Required Skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
