This role involves conducting thorough initial assessments and ongoing reviews of residents’ functional abilities, cognitive skills, and environmental needs. You will identify barriers to independence and implement creative, evidence-based solutions, including prescribing adaptive equipment, recommending environmental modifications, and teaching compensatory strategies. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with residents, their families, carers, and our multidisciplinary team, including care staff, to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Beyond direct therapy, you will play a crucial role in preventative care, educating residents and staff on safe moving and handling techniques, falls prevention strategies, and maintaining a stimulating environment.
