Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team at Eleme General Hospital. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and health history, to determine appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures accurately and safely, strictly adhering to physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide ongoing education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, accurately documenting all observations and interventions in patient records.
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies, performing life-saving measures and initiating emergency protocols as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors, specialists, other nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Required Skills

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
  • Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in administering medications and performing medical procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation and record-keeping
  • Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc) degree
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Specialized experience in areas such as Accident & Emergency, Intensive Care, or Pediatrics
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
