Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor network performance, security posture, and service availability across various platforms using advanced monitoring tools.
  • Detect, analyze, and swiftly troubleshoot network incidents, alarms, and outages in real-time, minimizing service disruption.
  • Perform initial triage and effectively escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate engineering teams for deeper investigation and resolution.
  • Execute routine network maintenance tasks, including configuration changes, software upgrades, and patch deployments, adhering to established protocols.
  • Thoroughly document all incidents, resolutions, operational procedures, and network changes to maintain accurate records and knowledge base.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including network engineering, security, and customer support, to resolve issues and improve overall network reliability.
  • Actively participate in an on-call rotation schedule to provide 24/7 network support and ensure continuous operational coverage.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of NOC processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Generate regular, comprehensive reports on network health, incident trends, performance metrics, and service level agreement (SLA) adherence.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in utilizing and managing network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG).
  • Strong foundational understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologies (VLANs, STP).
  • Hands-on experience with various network hardware vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia).
  • Solid and proven troubleshooting skills for complex network connectivity, performance issues, and service degradation.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hebrew.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent industry certifications (e.g., JNCIA, CompTIA Network+).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for network automation and task streamlining.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunication technologies (e.g., Fiber Optics, LTE, 5G, MPLS, SD-WAN).
  • Previous experience working in a large-scale ISP (Internet Service Provider) or telecommunications operations environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
