Job Description
NNPC Limited is urgently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Egbeda, Alimosho. This critical role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of complex oil and gas projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, adhering strictly to NNPC’s operational guidelines and national regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of complex oil and gas projects, from conceptualization to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate project teams to ensure optimal performance and adherence to project timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop robust mitigation plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with NNPC's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, as well as all relevant national and international regulations.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, financial analyses, and forecasts to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, departments, and external partners.
- Oversee project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper archival.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project management processes and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience, preferably in the oil and gas or energy sector.
- Strong command of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Deep understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirements within the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil), Project Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
- Professional Project Management certification (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent).
- Experience with large-scale capital projects or infrastructure development.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems related to project management.
- Previous experience working with national oil companies or large government-linked parastatals.
