Key Responsibilities
- Safely and compassionately transport patients, including those with limited mobility, between departments, wards, and treatment areas.
- Move medical equipment, beds, trolleys, and furniture as required, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Deliver and collect supplies, specimens, blood products, pharmaceutical items, and records to various hospital locations.
- Assist with the transfer of deceased patients to the mortuary, maintaining dignity and respect.
- Respond promptly to requests for portering services, prioritizing urgent tasks effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and hospital protocols.
- Provide clear and helpful directions to patients and visitors when needed.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, doctors, administrative staff, and other support services.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and professionally, upholding the highest standards of care.
