Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
  • Support patients with mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Aid in feeding patients, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately.
  • Document observations and escalate any concerns to qualified nursing staff promptly.
  • Assist nurses with clinical procedures as directed and within scope of practice.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for patients and colleagues.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a reassuring atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, their families, and the wider healthcare team.
  • Adhere to all NHS policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines.
