Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring of network performance and stability using various network management tools.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of network issues (e.g., connectivity problems, device failures) under supervision.
- Support senior network engineers in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
- Document network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures accurately and comprehensively.
- Participate in the implementation of network security policies and best practices.
- Respond to and resolve network-related service requests and incidents in a timely manner.
- Learn and adhere to IT service management (ITSM) processes, including incident and change management.
- Conduct regular network health checks and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of network services.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, VLANs).
- Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level networking certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+).
- Basic knowledge of network security principles.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
