Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end UX design process from concept to launch for key product areas, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, research, and content teams to define product vision, strategy, and requirements.
- Conduct and analyze user research (e.g., usability studies, surveys, interviews) to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviors, translating insights into design solutions.
- Develop detailed user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and gather feedback.
- Present and articulate design decisions and rationale clearly to stakeholders, incorporating feedback iteratively.
- Maintain and evolve Netflix's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all platforms.
- Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design to continually improve our product experiences.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and methodologies throughout the organization.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience in UX/Product Design for consumer-facing digital products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a breadth of work, including user research, interaction design, visual design, and problem-solving skills.
- Expert proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Proven ability to translate complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive and elegant design solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.
- Experience designing for multiple platforms (web, mobile, TV) and understanding their unique constraints and opportunities.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience working in the entertainment, streaming, or subscription-based service industry.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and leveraging data to inform design decisions.
- Experience with motion design or animation for user interfaces.
