Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and report discrepancies.
- Safely unload and load products using manual and powered equipment (after training), adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper stacking, labeling, and accessibility.
- Pick and prepare orders for outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to Nestlé's hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training will be provided for certification if required).
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and quality checks of products.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and resolve issues.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
- Basic numerical skills for counting and record-keeping.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Leaving Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even informal or temporary roles).
- Basic knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles.
- Proximity to Choba, Port Harcourt.
