Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all production machinery and equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems faults efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Execute corrective maintenance actions, including repair and replacement of faulty components, ensuring equipment returns to full operational capacity.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and infrastructure to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with production teams to understand operational needs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Nestlé's safety standards, hygiene policies, and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians or operators when necessary.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in a maintenance technician role within a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
  • Familiarity with various maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all operational procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade test certificate or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience with PLC programming and automation systems.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends, when required.
