Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and grow a designated portfolio of small to medium-sized business clients, understanding their unique financial needs and strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive client relationship plans, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell NAB's full range of banking products and services, including lending, deposits, trade finance, and treasury solutions.
- Conduct thorough financial assessments, credit analysis, and risk evaluations to structure appropriate and competitive financial solutions for clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, resolving complex inquiries, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Collaborate effectively with internal product specialists, credit analysts, and operations teams to deliver integrated financial solutions and maintain high service standards.
- Actively participate in local Pahoa community and business networking events to build brand awareness, generate new leads, and foster strong local relationships.
- Stay informed on industry trends, economic conditions, and competitor activities to proactively advise clients and identify new business prospects.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant banking regulations, compliance standards, and internal NAB policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in relationship management, business development, or a similar client-facing role within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of business banking products, financial analysis, and credit principles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with business owners and executives.
- Track record of achieving and exceeding sales and relationship growth targets.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other banking software applications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, customer-centric approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Existing network and knowledge of the Pahoa, Hawaii business community.
