Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced NAB Compliance Officer to join our team in Kalihi, Honolulu. This is an immediate start position, crucial for strengthening our adherence to local, state, and federal financial regulations, as well as maintaining NAB’s rigorous internal compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies in line with regulatory requirements and NAB's global standards.
  • Monitor changes in local, state, and federal financial regulations relevant to our operations, particularly those affecting the Hawaiian market.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time to relevant authorities.
  • Provide expert advice and training to staff on compliance matters, fostering a strong compliance culture across the organization.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, incidents, and breaches promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk management, and operational teams to integrate compliance requirements into business processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory trends.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a compliance, risk management, or regulatory role within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. financial regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, OFAC, Consumer Protection laws, GDPR, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory texts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
