As an MTN Sales Executive, you will be at the forefront of driving our customer acquisition and retention efforts, focusing on promoting MTN products and services (voice, data, VAS, digital solutions) to individuals and businesses within the designated territory. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and actively pursue new sales opportunities within the Unical Staff Quarters and surrounding areas, focusing on acquiring new subscribers and driving product adoption.
- Actively promote and sell a comprehensive range of MTN products and services, including mobile subscriptions, data bundles, value-added services (VAS), and innovative digital solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their unique needs and recommending appropriate MTN solutions that add tangible value.
- Achieve and consistently exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, market gaps, and new sales opportunities, providing actionable feedback to management.
- Prepare and present regular, detailed sales reports, accurate forecasts, and performance updates to sales management.
- Participate actively in sales meetings, comprehensive training sessions, and continuous product knowledge updates to stay abreast of MTN’s evolving offerings.
- Ensure strict compliance with all MTN sales policies, operational procedures, and ethical standards in all customer interactions.
- Provide excellent post-sales support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to drive retention, loyalty, and positive referrals.
- Represent MTN professionally and uphold the company's strong brand image at all times, acting as a true ambassador for our services and values.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the telecommunications or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a track record of closing deals.
- Goal-oriented with a strong drive for results and demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, fostering trust and loyalty.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations.
- Good understanding of mobile telecommunications products and services, including data, voice, and digital solutions.
- Resilience, adaptability, and ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior sales experience specifically within the Calabar or broader Cross River State market.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools.
- Knowledge of local languages prevalent in Calabar is considered an added advantage.
