Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance network solutions across various technologies (IP/MPLS, Fiber Optic, Microwave, LTE/5G).
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and availability.
- Perform routine network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous service.
- Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect network infrastructure and data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve existing network services.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical network incidents and provide timely resolution.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in network engineering.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, and other core networking protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Huawei, or Ericsson network equipment.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix).
- Understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, HCIP).
- Experience with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible).
- Experience with virtualized network functions (NFV) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
- Master's degree in a related field.
