Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload customers' belongings onto and off of moving trucks.
- Properly pack, wrap, and secure furniture and other items to prevent damage during transit.
- Disassemble and reassemble basic furniture items as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment (if licensed to drive, otherwise assist driver).
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and daily logs accurately.
- Assist with general hauling services, including junk removal and delivery tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including trucks and equipment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly and safely.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Punctuality and professional appearance.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in moving, general labor, or warehouse work.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (not mandatory for assistant role, but a plus).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Saskatoon and surrounding areas.
