Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily operational tasks including trade processing, settlement, and reconciliation across various financial products.
- Investigate and resolve operational breaks, discrepancies, and issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with front office, technology, and other support teams to ensure smooth transaction flows and issue resolution.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), escalating potential risks or concerns.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports, providing insights to management on performance and risk.
- Respond to client and internal inquiries, providing excellent service and accurate information.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects related to new product launches, system enhancements, or regulatory changes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in financial operations, banking, or a related field (internships included)
- Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and trade lifecycle
- Experience with operational systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, industry-standard clearing platforms)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to financial services (e.g., Dodd-Frank, MiFID II)
- Certification or coursework in project management or business analysis
