As a Mobile Money Agent, you will be the trusted face of Access Bank in your local area, facilitating essential transactions and bridging the gap between traditional banking and the rapidly evolving digital economy. You will play a crucial role in expanding financial access, assisting customers with a wide range of services including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, bill payments, and even guiding them through the process of opening new mobile accounts using our innovative and secure digital platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process customer deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers using designated mobile platforms.
  • Assist customers with opening new mobile money accounts and linking them to existing bank accounts when required.
  • Facilitate various bill payments (e.g., utility bills, cable TV subscriptions) and airtime recharges.
  • Educate customers on the benefits and proper usage of mobile banking, digital wallets, and other financial products offered by Access Bank.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all transactions, ensuring strict compliance with Access Bank's policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Handle customer inquiries, provide clear information, and resolve transactional issues promptly and professionally.
  • Safeguard all cash, transactional devices, and sensitive customer information, adhering strictly to security protocols.
  • Actively promote Access Bank's mobile money services and identify opportunities to expand the customer base within the assigned locality.
  • Collaborate effectively with Access Bank support staff to ensure seamless service delivery and escalate complex customer issues for resolution.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the agent location, maintaining a welcoming environment for customers.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of an O'Level certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO) with credit passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Demonstrable experience in customer service or a public-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong basic numeracy and accounting skills.
  • Proficiency in using mobile phones, tablets, and basic digital applications for transactions.
  • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and manage time effectively.
  • Residency within the Efiote Street, Calabar area or immediate vicinity is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Mobile Money Agent or in a similar agent banking role.
  • An Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in any discipline.
  • Familiarity with Access Bank's product offerings and services.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, result-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to speak local languages (e.g., Efik, Ibibio) in addition to English.
