We are currently seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Midwife to provide exceptional maternity and nursing care. This role is crucial in supporting expectant mothers through every stage of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period, ensuring the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
At Falmouth Hospital, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where healthcare professionals can thrive and make a tangible difference in the lives of our patients. Our maternity ward is a bustling and rewarding place, equipped to handle a range of obstetric cases, from routine deliveries to more complex situations. As a Midwife here, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, embodying our commitment to clinical excellence and community service. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including obstetricians, nurses, and other allied health professionals, contributing to a holistic approach to maternal and child health. This ensures comprehensive support for mothers and their newborns, promoting optimal health outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a registered Midwife with a proven track record of clinical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a profound understanding of the physical and emotional needs of women during their reproductive journey. You will be expected to utilize your extensive knowledge in antenatal care, intrapartum management, and postnatal support, providing education, guidance, and comfort to families. This position demands a professional who is not only clinically competent but also deeply empathetic, culturally sensitive, and capable of working effectively under pressure in a dynamic healthcare setting. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and to manage challenging situations with calm professionalism is paramount.
Your role will extend beyond direct patient care to include advocating for maternal health initiatives, participating in continuous professional development, and contributing to the training and mentorship of junior staff. We believe in empowering our midwives to be leaders in their field, continuously enhancing their skills and contributing to best practices in maternity care. Falmouth Hospital is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for both our patients and our staff. We are looking for an individual who shares our values and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the health outcomes of our community in Duncans, Falmouth, and beyond. If you are passionate about midwifery and eager to join a team that values your expertise and commitment, we encourage you to apply and become a part of our mission to deliver outstanding healthcare.
