Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in Independence, Kentucky. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, system access, and exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other internal databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR-related questions, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Assist with the administration of various HR programs, including performance management, compensation reviews, and employee recognition initiatives.
- Support the talent acquisition team by coordinating interview schedules, managing candidate communications, and processing background checks.
- Prepare and process HR-related documentation, reports, and presentations, including headcount reports, organizational charts, and compliance summaries.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Help organize and facilitate company events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other HR specialists to support strategic HR initiatives and projects.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Administrator role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (for data analysis and reporting), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS), such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
- Solid understanding of basic HR principles, practices, and employment law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday HRIS.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
