Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microsoft Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in Henderson, Kentucky. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud solutions primarily within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Migrate existing applications and services from on-premise environments to the Azure cloud platform.
- Automate cloud resource provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, implementing proactive measures to ensure operational excellence.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate cloud services into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Azure infrastructure, networking, and application deployments.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), network security groups, and data encryption.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on Azure best practices and emerging cloud technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities as needed.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Deep expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services (e.g., Azure VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Networking).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM Templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Azure Stack.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
