Job Description
Meta is seeking a passionate and experienced UX Researcher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our products by conducting rigorous research that uncovers user needs, behaviors, and motivations. You will work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists, acting as the voice of the user throughout the product development lifecycle. This position requires a deep understanding of various research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic product decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive research studies, utilizing a variety of methodologies (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing, ethnography, log analysis).
- Identify and articulate research questions based on product goals, user needs, and business objectives.
- Recruit and screen participants, ensuring representative and diverse samples for studies.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to uncover actionable insights and identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Communicate research findings, recommendations, and strategic implications clearly and persuasively to cross-functional teams and leadership through compelling presentations and reports.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure research informs and influences product strategy and design decisions.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of research best practices, tools, and processes within Meta.
- Mentor junior researchers and evangelize user-centered design principles across the organization.
- Stay current with the latest UX research trends, methods, and technologies.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience conducting UX research for digital products or services.
- Proven ability to apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., in-depth interviews, usability testing, surveys, diary studies, field studies).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative product development environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence product and design decisions with research insights.
- Proficiency with research tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting (e.g., Qualtrics, UserTesting.com, statistical software like R/Python, Tableau).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related field.
- Experience researching complex social networking platforms, AR/VR, or other emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with experimental design and statistical analysis.
- Experience with mixed-methods research, combining both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
