Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data pipelines, dashboards, and automated reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track product health.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis into complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues across Meta's products and services.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to define clear measurement strategies and impact hypotheses for new features and experiments.
  • Support A/B testing initiatives by helping design experiments, analyze results, and provide recommendations based on statistical significance.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling presentations for various audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain robust data models and schemas to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility for broader analytical use.
  • Proactively identify data gaps and work with engineering teams to implement new data logging and instrumentation where necessary.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in data analysis, visualization, and big data technologies.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
  • Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis of large-scale datasets.
  • Strong experience with a scripting language (Python or R) for data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to create insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application to A/B testing and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hive, Spark, Presto).
  • Familiarity with Meta's products and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp).
  • Experience in the social media or technology industry.
