Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain patient records with strict confidentiality and accuracy, utilising our electronic patient record systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and diagnostic tests efficiently.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters, emails, and faxes, often involving sensitive medical information.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and external organisations, providing a professional and helpful service.
  • Prepare and format medical reports, letters, and other documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist clinicians with administrative tasks, ensuring they have the necessary information and support for patient consultations.
  • Manage office supplies related to administrative functions and ensure the smooth operation of the reception area.
  • Process patient registrations, updates, and demographic information.
  • Adhere strictly to data protection (GDPR) and patient confidentiality guidelines at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
