Job Description
CMDC – Centro Médico e de Diagnóstico de Maputo is excited to announce an opening for an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry-Level Medical Doctor to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations.
- Formulate differential diagnoses and develop comprehensive treatment plans under supervision.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Administer basic medical treatments and procedures.
- Participate in daily ward rounds and clinical meetings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in critical care situations as required.
- Adhere strictly to all medical ethics, professional conduct guidelines, and institutional policies.
Required Skills
- Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Full registration or eligibility for registration with the Ordem dos Médicos de Moçambique (Mozambican Medical Association).
- Strong foundational knowledge in general medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of empathy and professionalism.
- Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Portuguese (verbal and written) is highly advantageous.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous volunteer work or clinical electives in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated interest in continuous medical education and professional development.
