Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on vehicles using specialized equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions.
- Execute repairs and replacements on various automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Inspect vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunction, and provide accurate estimates for repairs.
- Adhere strictly to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices for all repair and maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and estimated timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and diagnostics results accurately in the company's service records system.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology, repair techniques, and vehicle models through ongoing training and self-study.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting across various vehicle makes and models.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools (e.g., scan tools, oscilloscopes) and shop equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems including engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension, and electrical.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
