Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Managing Director with exceptional strategic leadership capabilities to spearhead our operations and growth initiatives in Gemena, Sud-Ubangi Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company objectives and drive sustainable growth in the Sud-Ubangi Province.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of SCAM’s agricultural and commercial activities, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, to ensure profitability and fiscal responsibility.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, expansion possibilities, and partnerships to enhance SCAM's regional footprint.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government officials, suppliers, and customers.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and national regulations, as well as company policies and ethical standards.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and economic factors to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Represent SCAM at various forums, meetings, and events, enhancing the company’s brand and reputation.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate operational and financial challenges.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in French and Lingala (written and spoken)
  • Deep understanding of the agricultural and commercial sectors in the DRC

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Agriculture, or a related field
  • Experience working in the Sud-Ubangi Province or similar regional contexts in DRC

  • Ability to speak other local languages (e.g., Swahili, Tshiluba)
