Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a comprehensive management training program, applying learned concepts in real-time scenarios.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high standards of presentation.
  • Drive sales performance through effective merchandising, promotional activities, and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stock rotation, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to achieve strategic business objectives.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership potential or prior experience in a supervisory role (2+ years).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for customer service and delivering exceptional retail experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
  • Basic proficiency in retail software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with inventory management and visual merchandising.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a retail setting.
