Job Description
The Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic Property Team. This vital role ensures the seamless operation and impeccable appearance of our luxurious resort, directly contributing to an unforgettable experience for our guests. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be the backbone of our facility, responsible for maintaining the physical integrity and functionality of all hotel systems and public areas. From responding to guest requests with efficiency and a friendly demeanor to executing comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, your efforts will keep our resort running smoothly and looking its best, adhering strictly to Hilton’s high standards.
We are looking for an individual who possesses a strong aptitude for hands-on work, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide array of equipment and systems, including but not limited to plumbing fixtures, electrical circuits, HVAC units, refrigeration systems, and general carpentry. Your daily tasks will involve inspecting the property for potential hazards or needed repairs, performing routine checks on essential equipment, and swiftly addressing any maintenance issues that arise in guest rooms, common areas, or back-of-house facilities. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems before they impact guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests for maintenance or repairs, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building issues.
- Conduct daily inspections of the property, identifying and rectifying potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent.
- Assist in the renovation and remodeling projects as directed.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption during maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance or a related trade.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
