Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Full-time Maintenance Technician to join our operations team at our state-of-the-art bottling plant in Schimatari, Boeotia. This critical role involves ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our complex production machinery and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment, including high-speed bottling lines, packaging machinery, utilities, and ancillary systems. You will play a vital role in minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background, capable of diagnosing complex issues and implementing effective solutions under pressure. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery, utility systems, and facility equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, troubleshooting faults and implementing corrective actions promptly to minimize production downtime.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of defective parts, ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new equipment and machinery, providing technical support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment performance data, utilizing our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with production operators, engineers, and other technicians to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement long-term solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting modifications to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines and protocols, promoting a safe working environment for all colleagues.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns efficiently and effectively, often outside of regular working hours as part of a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns and ensure compliance with operational standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in food & beverage or FMCG.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining complex machinery.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), sensors, and motor controls.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices (e.g., LOTO, confined space entry).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a dynamic production setting.
  • Good communication skills in Greek and English (written and verbal).
  • Vocational degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with packaging machinery, filling equipment, and palletizers.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) software.
  • Certification in specific technical areas (e.g., welding, hydraulics, pneumatics).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Previous experience in a role requiring on-call responsibilities.
