Job Description

Turner Industries Group, LLC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our dedicated team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for various industrial equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and guide technicians in effective troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Manage work orders, track maintenance progress, and maintain accurate records of equipment history and maintenance costs.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and promote best practices in maintenance, including lean manufacturing principles and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to capital projects aimed at enhancing facility reliability and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement, ensuring critical components are readily available.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Solid understanding of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices (OSHA, LOTO, confined space, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment, including occasional extended hours or on-call duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CMRP, Level I Thermography, Vibration Analysis).
  • Experience with specific industry equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, conveyors, motors, PLCs).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in a heavy industrial or petrochemical environment.
