As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring various conventional and CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision parts. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, drill presses, and grinders to perform machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine machining operations to be performed.
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
- Load and unload materials and products into and from machines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment (minimum 2 years).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Knowledge of machine operating procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada upon successful relocation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal trade certification or diploma in Machining, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with both conventional and CNC machining equipment.
