Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust industrial production machinery according to established procedures and production schedules.
- Perform routine checks, inspections, and basic troubleshooting of equipment to identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure all production activities adhere strictly to company safety policies, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Monitor machine output, product quality, and process parameters, making necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and product specifications.
- Complete accurate production logs, maintenance records, and quality control documentation.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, maintenance technicians, and other team members to optimize production flow and address technical challenges.
- Conduct regular cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines for different products.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting ways to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety.
- Adhere to all environmental regulations and company sustainability policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment (minimum 2 years).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial machinery operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and quality assurance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and machine interface operation.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (within safety limits), and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND or equivalent vocational qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
- Experience operating specific machinery in the food and beverage industry.
- Certification in industrial safety or machinery operation.
- Ability to perform basic electrical or mechanical repairs.
- Forklift operation certification (an added advantage).
