Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor heavy industrial machinery, including crushers, conveyors, kilns, and packing machines, according to operational guidelines and safety standards.
  • Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor production processes, making necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality and output targets.
  • Record production data, equipment logs, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical and operational issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or supervisory staff.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance operational skills and safety knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator in an industrial or manufacturing plant setting (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial machinery operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding industrial environment, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects when required.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and system monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology.
  • Experience operating specific cement manufacturing machinery (e.g., ball mills, vertical roller mills, kilns).
  • Valid certification in heavy equipment operation or industrial safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a continuous operation environment (24/7).
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures in manufacturing.
