Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner, identifying their needs and offering suitable product solutions.
  • Provide accurate product information, explain features, benefits, and proper usage of merchandise.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor, ensuring products are merchandised effectively.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and facilitate returns or exchanges following company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge across various departments to better serve customer needs.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. (approx. 23 kg).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales or customer service experience, ideally in a home improvement setting.
  • Knowledge of home improvement products, tools, and materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
