Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner, identifying their needs and offering suitable product solutions.
- Provide accurate product information, explain features, benefits, and proper usage of merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor, ensuring products are merchandised effectively.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and facilitate returns or exchanges following company policies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge across various departments to better serve customer needs.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with POS systems.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. (approx. 23 kg).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience, ideally in a home improvement setting.
- Knowledge of home improvement products, tools, and materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
