Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and retrieve merchandise from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or handheld devices.
  • Verify product numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure accuracy of orders.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks (training provided if necessary).
  • Prepare orders for shipment by packing, wrapping, or stacking items appropriately.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals and deadlines.
  • Report any discrepancies or damage to merchandise promptly to supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 kg.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills to read order sheets and count inventory.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or order picking role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanning devices.
  • Certification or experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
