Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve merchandise from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or handheld devices.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure accuracy of orders.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks (training provided if necessary).
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing, wrapping, or stacking items appropriately.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals and deadlines.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to merchandise promptly to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 kg.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to read order sheets and count inventory.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or order picking role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanning devices.
- Certification or experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
