As a Logistics Manager at Bolloré Logistics Mozambique, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to enhance operational visibility, planning, and execution.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and service agreements.
- Identify and implement new technologies and process improvements to streamline logistics operations.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics activities, costs, and performance for senior management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (3+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (Portuguese and English proficiency required).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures specific to Mozambique.
- Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Sena, Changana).
