Job Description

Wisynco Group Limited, a powerhouse in Jamaica’s distribution and manufacturing sectors, is seeking a talented Logistics Coordinator to strengthen our warehouse and dispatch functions in Hellshire Hills, Portmore. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of goods, from inbound receipts to outbound deliveries. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily dispatch activities, including route planning, load scheduling, and driver assignments for efficient product delivery.
- Manage inventory levels within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy through regular stock counts, reconciliations, and proper storage practices.
- Process and track incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying documentation and resolving any discrepancies with suppliers or carriers.
- Communicate effectively with sales teams, warehouse staff, and transport providers to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics data, including delivery schedules, inventory movements, and shipping costs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in warehouse and dispatch operations to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse and during dispatch activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management, or dispatch operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and logistics best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly those used in distribution.
- Familiarity with cold chain logistics and perishable goods handling.
- Previous experience working in the food and beverage distribution industry in Jamaica.
