Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our operational team in Clifton, Bristol. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely flow of goods, services, and equipment critical to the smooth operation of our student accommodation properties across the region. From managing the delivery of new furniture and maintenance supplies to coordinating contractor access and project materials, your expertise will ensure that our properties are always equipped and ready to support our student residents.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple logistical streams simultaneously. You will be the central point of contact for external suppliers, internal teams, and site managers, ensuring that all freight and delivery schedules are meticulously planned, communicated, and executed without disruption. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all inbound and outbound freight and deliveries for multiple student accommodation properties within the Bristol region.
  • Liaise effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal property teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, materials, and equipment.
  • Track and monitor shipments, proactively addressing and resolving any potential delays, discrepancies, or issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including delivery schedules, proof of delivery, and inventory movements.
  • Optimise delivery routes and schedules to maximise efficiency, reduce costs, and minimise environmental impact where possible.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the procurement team by providing insights into logistics costs and supplier performance.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock checks and coordinating storage solutions when required.
  • Communicate status updates and potential impacts to relevant stakeholders regularly.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or coordination role.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience within the property management, hospitality, or student accommodation sector.
  • Familiarity with local Bristol and UK transportation networks and regulations.
