Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
  • Stock shelves, racks, and displays with new products, ensuring proper rotation and presentation standards.
  • Organize and maintain the backroom and storage areas, adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Verify product counts against delivery manifests and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist in taking inventory counts and managing stock levels.
  • Remove empty boxes, packaging, and other waste, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely (training provided).
  • Monitor product freshness and expiry dates, rotating stock as needed.
  • Assist customers with locating products or direct them to appropriate staff members when necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory verification.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or processes.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
