Alliance Financial Services Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Loan Officer specializing in microfinance and lending to join our vibrant team in Kingston. You will be responsible for a complete loan cycle, from initial client engagement and financial analysis to loan disbursement and ongoing portfolio management. Key Responsibilities

  • Source, assess, and process loan applications from individuals and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, credit checks, and risk assessments for all loan applicants.
  • Structure appropriate loan products, terms, and repayment schedules tailored to client needs and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage a loan portfolio, ensuring timely repayments and proactively addressing any delinquencies.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and follow-up, providing financial advice and support.
  • Prepare and present loan proposals to the credit committee for approval, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the microfinance sector.
  • Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote AFS's lending products and services.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare periodic reports on loan portfolio performance, client acquisition, and market insights.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in lending, microfinance, or credit assessment.
  • Proven ability to analyze financial statements and conduct credit risk evaluations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales and customer relationship management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
