Job Description

Are you a seasoned professional with an unwavering passion for live music and a proven track record in orchestrating successful events? Clwb Ifor Bach is seeking a dynamic and experienced Live Concert Manager to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and oversight of our diverse calendar of live music events. You will be the linchpin between artists, promoters, technical teams, and front-of-house staff, ensuring every concert runs seamlessly from load-in to load-out. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and successful execution of all live music events and concerts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for artists, management, booking agents, and promoters, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including technical staff (sound/lighting), bar staff, security, and box office personnel.
  • Manage event schedules, production timelines, and technical rider requirements for performing artists.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and venue policies.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings with relevant teams to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to ensure effective event publicity and audience engagement.
  • Handle on-site problem-solving and crisis management swiftly and effectively.
  • Supervise event set-up, sound checks, performance, and breakdown processes.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, industry professionals, and local community stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in live event management, preferably within a music venue or festival setting.
  • Demonstrable experience in budget management and financial oversight for events.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to public events and venues.
  • Proficiency in event management software and general office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
  • A deep passion for music and understanding of various genres and subcultures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Music Business, Arts Administration, or a related field.
  • Existing network of contacts within the UK music industry (artists, promoters, suppliers).
  • Experience with production logistics, including basic understanding of sound and lighting systems.
  • Current First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Personal Licence holder (for alcohol sales).
